ABOUT ASPEN COMPASSION

Aspen Compassion is a licensed non-medical home care agency located in the Roaring Fork Valley since 2015. We specialize in dementia and post-operative care and work primarily with older adults. At Aspen Compassion- our clients become our family- and we are committed to providing the highest quality in-home health care to you and your loved ones. All of our employees are rigorously vetted and backed by education and experience, and each caregiver is trained to provide the highest quality care in every situation. We understand that each person is unique and has a different set of needs; that is why all our services aim at providing individuals the support necessary to regain their independence, all the while enriching their lives and providing a compassionate and nurturing experience every step of the way.

OUR FAMILY

DAVID FREEMAN

David found his love of caregiving when spending time with his great-grandmother, Josephine. He loved the time they were able to spend together. David started caregiving actively for a blind woman and an older man in Woody Creek and found a true passion for helping older adults. His goal is to be able to help as many older adults as well as support the people in the roles of caregivers. David actively supports the community as a member of Aspen Rotary, Pitkin County Senior Services, Member of the Roaring Fork Age Collaborative, and Board member for the non-profit Aspen Compassion Adventures, a non-profit geared toward creating experiences for lower-income older adults.

NIKITA DANIELY

Nikita Daniely moved to the Roaring Fork Valley from Colorado Springs in 2000. Her career in healthcare and nursing began with volunteer stints at valley nursing homes and assisted living facilities. She spent her formative years working with both children and adults before finally starting her formal healthcare education in Nursing Sciences at the Glenwood Springs campus of Colorado Mountain College. Nikita graduated at the top of her class after which she accepted a residency at Valley View Hospital where she served as a medical-surgical nurse. It was there that she honed her skills in patient care and care coordination, which would prove invaluable in her new role of House Manager and Staff Development Coordinator at Aspen Compassion.

MICHELLE MEEKER

Michelle is committed to helping people age gracefully in their homes. Her family, with the help and guidance from Aspen Compassion, was able to fulfill her mother's wish to stay in her home as she battled Alzheimer's. When David asked Michelle to join the team, she thought there no better place for her to be in order to apply her own personal, as well as professional experience in caregiving and care coordination. Michelle, trained as a nurse, finds great joy and satisfaction helping families and clients through this stage of life.

BRI MYRE

Bri has worked as a caregiver over the years both in the private capacity and for various agencies. She believes quality care comes from an understanding of the client; not only an understanding of their physical needs, but also what type of interactions make them feel comfortable, safe and engaged. She gives a caregiver's perspective to Aspen Compassion's policy and philosophy. She believes that caregiving, while technically an "unskilled" position, takes an incredible amount of skill and talent and can make such a difference in our client's lives and well being.

KATE CIBULSKY

Kate is the scheduler for 45 employees and 20+ homes, and also deals with billing and payroll. While at home with her kids, Kate worked a summer for Aspen Compassion in companion care and really enjoyed her time. She knew that taking a job alongside David would bring her laughter and there is certainly never a dull moment in the workings of this small business! "We are never bored!" echoes through our office. She loves her team and the caregivers that show up with enormous hearts, daily.

DAISY SALINAS
