David Freeman began his path in home health care at an early age when his great-grandmother was diagnosed with dementia. David fondly remembers playing Gin Rummy with his Grandma Josephine. He recounts that no matter how hard he tried, he could never best her at her favorite game. “The game allowed us to communicate when communicating verbally was not an option.  Fast forward to 2015, David created Aspen Compassion as an activity-based program designed to provide seniors with opportunities to engage in the hobbies and interests they love. Aspen Compassion quickly evolved into an organization carefully designed to meet each client's needs while improving and maintaining the highest quality of life.

David has been working in the home healthcare industry for over ten years. He enjoys meeting and developing relationships with each family and their loved ones on a personal level. He is an active member of the Aspen Rotary Club and Senior Council for Pitkin county as well as a member of the non-profit organization, Aspen Compassion Adventures.
